Whether in their lab or in the home of staff and family testers, Good Housekeeping has been testing RC cars since the beginning. It's worth noting that while this care is rated for ages 4 and up, its remote control buttons are small and require some finger agility, which may make it more suitable for school-age kids, teens, and adults. Gradual depletion is expected with any rechargeable battery, and the fact that it endured enough playtime to see its batteries begin to degrade is a testament to how robust-and how fun-this RC vehicle is. It boasts a respectable 15 minutes of playtime from its rechargeable battery, although users have found that its rechargeable battery got weaker over time. It's ideal for indoors, as its big tires (as long as they remain clean) are unlikely to mark walls or scratch furniture, although it's just as happy outdoors as well. In testing, it was durable enough to race down a staircase or smash into cabinets without damage to the toy or home. First off, it does tricks! It continues running even when flipped over, and it can pull off some gnarly spins. ![]() Only logged in customers who have purchased this product may leave a review.Air Hogs Flippin' Frenzy was picked for Good Housekeeping's 2022 Best Toy Awards, and it's clear why when you see what it offers. I had a cheaper one that fried on me and replaced it with this. This thing just works so well, it’s really astonishing. Yes, it’s $200, towing your car back home can be upwards of that! I’ve seen computer chips get fried trying to jump car to car. How much was it? Where’d you get that? Wow it can power a laptop too? Jumpting that car didn’t even discharge it! Hold on, get a picture, we’re getting one of these for all of the company vehicles. Alright, now everyone’s convinced, the XP-10 is not your normal little jumper pack. Alright, let the battery charge for a couple minutes, then kill the engine and try again, sure enough, that battery was severely discharged and the car just barely started. I told him I’m pretty sure it’s dead considering the ALARM WENT OFF when I connected it. The owner of the car got it turned off, and his car started like it had a fully charged and perfectly healthy battery! He came out a bit confused, hang on, that’s now how these things work, usually these packs just have enough juice to barely start a car, this went like the battery was fine, there was no hesitation. Well, immediately when I hooked it up the car alarm went off and scared the snot out of all four of us. Upon showing them the XP-10, they hmm-hawed and said oh yeah we’ve used those before although that one looks a little more serious. It was some kind of little Subaru, I think only a 4 cylinder. I offered my help, and ran back to my car to grab the XP-10, then ran back to meet them up by the stuck car. I overheard some other attendees digging through a company van looking for jumper cables to help their colleague, and were unable to find any. I was at a conference out in the mountains, and I was walking around the parking lot area. The cables are thicker, the clamps are stronger, the unit its self has a bit of heft to it. When you pull this unit out, it’s immediately obvious that it’s more serious than most of the other little jumpstarters you see. ![]()
